CHINA NATIONAL OPERA HOUSE
Historical evolution. The Central Opera House is a national opera house under the Ministry of Culture, established in 1952. The Central Orchestra and Lu Yi Cultural Troupe, established in the revolutionary holy land of Yan'an, were its predecessors. In 1943, he created and performed the Yang opera "Brothers and Sisters Pioneering the Land" in Yan'an, and in 1945, he performed the national opera "White Haired Girl" in Yan'an. The Central Opera House has witnessed the changes in history. To this day, it is the most large-scale and powerful opera house in China and the Asia Pacific region, representing the national level of opera art and the highest hall of performance art in China.
The team has strong strength. The theater's affiliated song troupe, choir, symphony orchestra, stage art design and production center, and stage art factory gather a large number of powerful and influential domestic and foreign singers, performers, composers, conductors, directors, playwrights, and stage artists. Former deans include Li Bozhao, Zhou Weizhi, Lu Su, Zhao Feng, Ma Ke, Li Ling, Liu Lianchi, Wang Shiguang, Chen Xieyang, Liu Xijin, Yu Feng, and others. The work is currently presided over by Party Secretary Yuan Ping, and the team members include famous violinist and Vice Dean Liu Yunzhi, Vice Dean Ju Xiongzhi, and Yang Xiong.
The artistic achievements are abundant. Spring and autumn come and go, and every year is like a song. Looking back on the development process of more than 60 years, we have left shining footprints: we have created a large number of excellent plays (festivals), and won more than 100 national awards, including the National "Five One Project Award", the "National Stage Art Excellence Project Award", the Wenhua Award of the Ministry of Culture, the Wenhua New Drama Award, and the Wenhua Performance Award. Internationalization of performances. The theater has always maintained its international, leading, and open characteristics, representing countries actively on the international art exchange stage for a long time. It has performed Chinese and foreign operas in countries such as Italy, France, Finland, the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Syria, Algeria, Switzerland, and Morocco. Puccini's classic opera "Turandot" has become an important preserved play in theaters since its introduction to China in 1989. The theatrical version of Turandot interprets a story that is moving, passionate, and full of faith, incorporating elements of China and its culture. As a representative work of the theater, it has been successfully performed in Cairo, Damascus, Rome, and Puccini's hometown Tahu, and has received unanimous praise from Puccini experts and professionals both inside and outside the industry. In April 2016, the theater performed at the Budapest Spring Art Festival in Hungary, achieving great success and high praise. It was highly praised by the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Ambassador to Hungary, and the Chairman of the Hungarian Art Festival Organizing Committee. In October of the same year, the theater went to Switzerland to perform "Turandot", continuing on the international stage, allowing the audience to appreciate the exquisite art of "Turandot". Through the ups and downs of the story plot, it uncovered the mysterious veil of the Eastern powers.
Artistic diversity. National prosperity and cultural prosperity. The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will inevitably be accompanied by the great rejuvenation of culture and art. On the path of artistic development, the performance forms of theaters are becoming increasingly diverse. In addition to retaining the complete version of opera performances, creative opera concerts and situational opera concerts have also been recognized and praised by a large audience. From opera to symphonic concerts to choir concerts, theater artists are constantly innovating to make it easier for audiences to accept and love elegant art. In May 2016, the theater participated in the National Grand Theatre Opera Festival with Puccini's classic opera "Madame Butterfly"; In the same month, the "2016 Qintai Opera Week" was successfully held in Wuhan, where four operas, "Turandot," "Madame Butterfly," "Tosca," and "The White Haired Girl," were performed in the form of an opera concert. This sparked a frenzy of opera fever in Wuhan and ignited the audience's thirst for opera art. The theater performs no less than a hundred times a year in China, covering the entire country. From cultural and public welfare performances to deep rooted activities in rural areas and factories, from elegant art entering campuses to international art festivals, artists from the northernmost to southernmost parts of the motherland, from the eastern coast to the western plateau, always represent the image of the national team, go deep into the front line, and perform for the people, no matter where they are in the motherland. Use music to convey love, hope, and dreams. In the large-scale event to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the theater participated in the "Eternal Faith" - the 95th anniversary concert of the founding of the party held in the Great Hall of the People; Participated in the recording of the TV Literature and Art Special Program for Celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC - The Great Banner hosted by CCTV; It hosted the Mass Singing Conference for the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC held by the Ministry of Culture. To offer gifts to the Party and sing heartily for the prosperity and prosperity of the motherland.
Spring breeze turns into rain, and people blend with the scenery. The theater adheres to the principle of "producing high-quality products, talents, and benefits", "deeply rooted in life and the people", and organizes various deep rooted activities. In 2016 alone, it has carried out a series of performances and paired assistance activities in rural areas, schools, nursing homes, etc. in Lichuan, Zunyi, Jilin, Yushu, etc., allowing elegant art to deeply root in real life and the fertile soil of the people, and dedicating the best and richest artistic works to the people. The Central Opera House is a strong collective that is harmonious, warm, positive, and capable of winning battles. When gathered together, it is a "fire", and when dispersed, it is a "starry sky". Everyone is constantly emitting light and heat, and a single spark can start a prairie fire and burst out with brilliant colors, illuminating those who have never met and known each other, and creating every memorable moment and memory.
"Long winds and waves sometimes break, hanging straight on the clouds and sailing across the vast sea." After more than 60 years of deep cultivation, the footprints of time clearly record the shining history of the theater. From the painstaking efforts of previous hospital leaders to create the theater brand, to the joint efforts of the entire team today, the spirit of relay responsibility is passed down from generation to generation. In the coming years, the theater will be built into its own grand theater, fulfilling the long-standing aspirations and dreams of several generations of opera performers, and laying a solid foundation for the future development of the theater. After more than 60 years, the theater will continue to adhere to lofty artistic ideals and a high level of cultural confidence, innovate and seek change through wind and rain, bravely climb high peaks based on the plateau, continuously create artistic brilliance, and move towards a better tomorrow for the Central Opera House
